People don’t have to get it

People don’t have to see your talent.

People don’t have to like your style.

People don’t have to understand the value of your work.

People don’t have to care you’ve been in business twenty years.

People don’t have to care that equipment is expensive.

People don’t have to subscribe to your blog.

People don’t have to understand good photography.

People don’t have to call you for the next assignment (even if they said they would).

They must care that you will make them look good if they hire you.  The more important the project, the more they have on the line, the more they need to look good – the more they will pay the right photographer.

  1. I agree. often times i think we as photographers can get caught up in the negative everyday aspects of the business, but I think if your able to challenge yourself in maintaining a consistent positive attitude as a photographer then its going to reflect not only with your client relations but also how clients feel when they work with you.
