The key part that Pranav talks about here is the integration of life or business and the digital realm in an intuitive fashion.

Just looking at the hot topic of the month, the Apple iPad, I see the innovation and opportunities there as being the application of an intuitive interface to everyday computing.

Yes, a laptop in the same price range can always technically do more, but rarely with such style or ease of use.

I wrote an article about the iPad recently and its potential applications for photographers, really pushing the idea that what the technology can’t do yet is not important – but what it can do for one’s business.

Pranav and all the MIT folks always make such incredible strides starting with the simplest of ideas, like his turning two computer mice into a gesture interface.

As a professional photographer, I look forward to seeing how these new technologies and ideas filter their way into our industry.
