Social media is an important part of the combination code 7-5-3-1. The 1 represents channel building. I’ve built a few social media channels. Some succeeded, while others completely failed.
Twitter was my first big success. It took me around the world. A few years ago, I decided to give YouTube my focus and effort. 1000 videos later, this is the result.

This weeks podcast is about managing your social media.
YouTube is a powerful platform if you can make it work. It’s like social media TV. You can become quite famous. However, it takes time and understanding that it’s not about you, it’s about the audience. The YouTube algorithm responds to your audience and so should you. Always think about what the people who enjoyed your last video will want to see next.
Although my channel has a few thousand subscribers, some may think it might not have been worth my time.
I have to disagree. I’ve earned new friends and contacts, a greater understanding of social media algorithms, which includes Google search. I launched the Tube Labs Podcast because of my understanding of YouTube. And of course, the bottom line, yes, I’ve earned money, new opportunities, and clients.
Building a channel can be an amazing experience if you don’t compare your channel to other people on the platform. Every channel grows at a different pace. Your rewards may not be subscribers, but the relationships you build or niche opportunities.
Growing a business is about people. The more strong relationships you have, the stronger your creative business. Access to people, insight, and information can give you an advantage which leads to opportunities you may not have considered when you started your channel.
However, nothing will happen until you select your channel, niche, and start. You never know what needs to be fixed or adjusted until you go through the process.
There is no perfect time, except for now!
Let me know you result and experience channel building.
